The next show during the Mont-Carmel Fall & Winter Concert Series, presented by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), will take place virtually on Sunday, March 13, at 7 p.m. on its Facebook page. This show will feature the father-daughter duo Jacques & Josiane Comeau.
Originally from Néguac in the Acadian Peninsula and currently residing in Dieppe, Jacques Comeau is deeply passionate about music. The release of his debut album “Ici, on me connaît par mon p’tit nom” in 2013 was a labour of close to five years of work and collaborations with various artists. In 2019, Jacques took part in the extremely popular singing contest titled « La Voix » in Québec and made it to the semi-finals with his coach Éric Lapointe. Throughout this experience, he performed with renowned international artists such as Francis Cabrel, Garou, Éric Lapointe, Robert Charlebois, Isabelle Boulay, Jean-Pierre Ferland and many more. He is currently working on his second studio album.
Josiane Comeau is twenty years old and lives in Dieppe. She has been singing ever since she learned to talk and has participated in numerous singing competitions in both New Brunswick and Québec. At the age of 14, Josiane was selected to participate in The Voice Kids in France. In 2020, she was crowned the winner of the extremely popular singing contest “La Voix” Season 8 in Québec. Josiane is currently working on her very first studio recording. Furthermore, she is currently studying at Université de Moncton to become a doctor. Regardless of what the future has in store for her, she hopes to be able to keep singing and touching people with her music.
This free hour-long show featuring Jacques & Josiane Comeau will take place this Sunday at 7 p.m. on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CDCPMC. Each week, until March 27, a free virtual show will take place on Sunday night on our Facebook page. The artists being featured during the rest of the month of March are: Claude Cormier (March 20) and Jonathan Arsenault & Zakk Cormier (March 27).
