Jordane performs a virtual concert during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival!

The second virtual concert during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival, organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), will take place this upcoming Sunday, September 12, at 7 p.m. and will feature Quebec singer/songwriter Jordane.

Jordane’s warm and captivating music expresses her emotional attachment to her native North Shore roots in the town of Les Escoumins. Her precise wording, supported by her assertive feminine point of view, speaks of the modern community and territorial life. Her folk music and vintage pop sounds create a unique arrangement, a sound of its own that is recognized by all.  Her soft and powerful voice, combined with her strong performance, determined her artistic status in the local music industry. After a notable appearance on La Voix VI, then on The Launch with Bryan Adams as her mentor, Jordane became known as a songwriter with her folk album “12 Jours” which, notably, earned her a nomination in the French Songwriter of the Year category at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.  During her “12 Jours” tour, she gave more than 90 performances in theatres and festivals in just 2 years. She then produced an EP, “Les Chansons-Polaroïd” which was also acclaimed by the critics.

This free hour-long show will be available on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CDCPMC

Every week until September 26 a free show will take place on Sunday night starting at 7 p.m.  The show on Sunday, September 19 will feature a trio formed by Craig Fair, Ben Aitken and Joce Reyome.
