The Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC) is pleased to announce that the 12th edition of its Grand Russeau Song Festival will take place virtually!
Given the uncertainties still surrounding COVID-19, the Cooperative is pleased to be working alongside House-Front Production Services to present four high-quality virtual shows. A free sixty minute show will take place each Sunday night during the month of September at 7 p.m.
The first virtual show during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival will take place this Sunday, September 5 on the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel’s Facebook page and will feature Island singer/songwriter Meaghan Blanchard.
East Coast Music Award-winning songwriter Meaghan Blanchard’s most recent release, The Great Escape, is a collection that celebrates the struggles and triumphs of real people and the true heroes and heroines of everyday life and is the most powerful album of her career. With her warm melodies and stunning vocals, the PEI native warms hearts and sends out a few chills as well, taking an unflinching look at the joys and hardships we all experience. She is one of the most captivating performers and writers in Canadian roots music.
This free hour-long show will be available on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CDCPMC. Every week until September 26 a free show will take place on Sunday night starting at 7 p.m.
If you have not yet done so, we invite you to like and follow our social media channels to be kept in the loop!
