Flo Durelle performs during the Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series!

The sixth show of the Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series, presented by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), will take place on Sunday, August 8 at 7 p.m. and will feature New Brunswick Country singer/songwriter Flo Durelle.

Originally from Baie-Ste-Anne, New Brunswick, Flo Durelle has been performing on stage since she was 5 years old.  In the 80’s, she toured extensively throughout Canada and the US as a member of both Morning Sun and Calico.  In 1984, she represented New Brunswick in the Great Atlantic Canada Talent Contest.  During the 90’s, she performed in a duo with her brother Buff.  In 2016, she released her first recording titled To Daddy, and a few years later, in 2019, she released her second album titled Listen to Your Heart.  She is known for her strong vocal style, bubbly personality, and her love of country music.  In 2020, she was inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame.

This free hour-long show will be available on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CDCPMC.  Each week, until August 29 a free show will take place on Sunday night starting at 7 p.m.  During the rest of the month of August, the artists featured include: Keelin Wedge (August 15), Tara MacLean (August 22) as well as Josée Boudreau and Craig Fair (August 29).
