The second virtual concert during the Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series will take place this upcoming Sunday, July 11, at 7 p.m. on the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel’s Facebook page. 

Lennie Gallant and Patricia Richard are the members of Sirène et Matelot.  These two Acadians from Prince Edward Island share a passion for music.  They have each been successful in their respective artistic careers, but have recently discovered that together they have a sound that is unique and fresh and yet carries the kind of weight and wisdom that only comes with time and experience. With Sirène et Matelot, they explore songwriting that reflects not only their roots and influences but also their concerns about the current state of the world. 

Since the duo was formed in 2019, their songs maintain placements on radio charts. They received both ECMA and Music PEI Award nominations and they were awarded with the “Assomption Vie Radio-Canada” tour during the FrancoFête en Acadie 2019.  They were also named ambassadors of the Acadie 300 celebrations in Prince Edward Island in 2020.

This free hour-long show with Sirène et Matelot will be available on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CDCPMC.  Each week, until August 29 a free LIVE show will take place on Sunday night starting at 7 p.m. on our Facebook page. Throughout the course of the summer, numerous artists will be featured including: Moyenne Rig (July 18), Christian « Kit » Goguen and Mathias Goguen (July 25), Shane Pendergast (August 1), Flo Durelle (August 8), Keelin Wedge (August 15), Tara MacLean (August 22) as well as Josée Boudreau and Craig Fair (August 29).
