Hert LeBlanc to perform a virtual show during the Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series!

The very first virtual concert during the Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series will take place this upcoming Sunday, July 4, at 7 p.m. on the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel’s Facebook page.

The pandemic continues to have an impact on the cooperative’s traditional plans with regards to its annual concert series.  Given the uncertainties still surrounding COVID-19, the decision was made to present this concert series virtually again this year as we want to protect our clientele at the same time as we support our artists.  This year, we are pleased to be working alongside House-Front Production Services and Red Island Studios in order to present a high-quality concert series.

The very first show of the season will feature New Brunswick Acadian artist Hert LeBlanc.  Hert is originally from Bouctouche, New Brunswick, and has numerous years of experience in the country and francophone music scene.  He is known to pack venues and get people dancing with his Cajun, traditional Acadian, country, blues, or rock and roll songs!

Hert has always been a fan of traditional Acadian music, country music from Québec, American country music and of course rock and roll.  He has been influenced by such artists as 1755, Julie et les frères Duguay, Paul Daraîche, Zachary Richard, Suroît, Frank Maillet, Hank Williams, George Jones and Merle Haggard.

This free hour-long show will be available on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CDCPMC.  Each week, until August 29 a free LIVE show will take place on Sunday night starting at 7 p.m. on our Facebook page.  Throughout the course of the summer, numerous artists will be featured including: Sirène et Matelot (July 11), Moyenne Rig (July 18), Christian « Kit » Goguen and Mathias Goguen (July 25), Shane Pendergast (August 1), Flo Durelle (August 8), Keelin Wedge (August 15), Tara MacLean (August 22) as well as Josée Boudreau and Craig Fair (August 29).

If you have not yet done so, we invite you to like and follow our social media channels to be kept up to date throughout the course of the summer 2021!
