STORYLINE

The Marvel Studios movie, which is rated PG (Parental Guidance), finds superhero Peter Parker (Tom Holland) enjoying a relaxing European vacation. His trip takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) shows up in his hotel room to recruit him for a mission. The world is in danger as four massive elemental creatures – representing Earth, air, water and fire – emerge from a hole torn in the universe. Parker soon finds himself donning the Spider-Man suit to help Fury and fellow superhero Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) stop the evil entities from wreaking havoc across the continent. Also starring in the film are Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau and Marisa Tomei.

This movie, which lasts two hours and nine minutes, has received a 90% approval rating from critics and a 95% approval rate from audiences, according to the Rotten Tomatoes movie reviewing site.

“Usually, during Co-op and Small Business Weeks, we organize some kind of community event, such as a game show, a casino or a bingo,” says Diane McInnis from Évangéline-Central Credit Union, on behalf of the local organizing committee. “This year, we’ve chosen something a little different that will hopefully attract children, teenagers and adults.”

“We hope that Mother Nature will co-operate to offer us a beautiful, quiet evening, without rain, to watch this wonderful film," she concludes. “My family and I are bringing our blankets to wrap up in, just in case the weather gets a little chilly. Whatever happens, we're going to have a great time. Everyone is invited to join us.”
