The Competitors in the Finale Event of the Meat Pie Festival du pâté!

Since November 16, six regional competitions have taken place from tip to tip of Prince Edward Island in search of the best traditional meat pies and the best non-traditional meat pies in each of the Acadian and Francophone regions.

The Farmers’ Bank of Rustico & Doucet House Museums are thrilled to reveal the names of the competitors who will take part in the finale event of the Meat Pie Festival du pâté presented by The Handpie Company taking place this Sunday, December 15 at 6:30pm at the Cymbria Lions Club (2184 Church Road, Rustico)!  Finalists from each of the six regional competitions held from tip to tip of Prince Edward Island will compete to determine who makes the best traditional meat pie and the best non-traditional meat pie in PEI.

The 1st place winners will receive $500, the 2nd place winners will take home $250, and the 3rd place winners will walk away with $125.  In all, more than $1500.00 in prizes to be won!

Competitors in the Traditional Category:

This event will reunite folks from each of the six corners of our province under the same roof in the oldest Acadian community in our province. Attendees will be entertained by a traditional kitchen party featuring musicians representing different regions across PEI.

The doors of the Cymbria Lions Club (2184 Church Road, Rustico), will open at 6:00pm and the event will kick-off at 6:30pm.  Tickets for the event are $30 (+ tax & fees). Each ticket includes two hand pies (one savory & one sweet) graciously provided by our Presenting Sponsor - The Handpie Company!
