Jonathan Arsenault, Louise Arsenault, Shane Arsenault and The Ross Family in concert during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival!

The fourth and last show taking place during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival, organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), is taking place on Sunday, September 29 at 7 pm at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.

The show will feature Island singer Jonathan Arsenault (accompanied by his mom Louise Arsenault and Shane Arsenault) as well as The Ross Family.

Jonathan Arsenault is a singer, songwriter, performer and multi-instrumentalist.  His adventure into the world of music began with learning to play the fiddle.  However, his true love of music developed when he discovered the acoustic guitar.  His shows are reminiscent of musical evenings with friends.  He'll have you laughing and moving in your seat with songs from his repertoire of traditional, country and classic rock music.  During this performance, he will be accompanied by his mother, Louise Arsenault, on fiddle, as well as Shane Arsenault on bass.

Quirky, personable siblings Stephanie, Johnny, and Danielle are The Ross Family. Through song and story, music and dance, they lovingly weave originality into their centuries-old Celtic and Acadian Island roots. The group just wrapped up a busy summer of performances of their new show “Gone is the Kerosene Lamp”, which was presented at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown during June, July, August and September.

The show will start at 7:00 p.m. and the doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) open at 6:15 p.m.  During the evening, spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets and the canteen will be open. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 for members of our Cooperative, $8 for students and free for preschoolers. Given that seating is limited, folks are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at  www.cooperativeculturelledemontcarmel.com.  If any tickets are left, they will be made available for purchase at the door on the night of the show.

The cooperative is organizing a benefit concert for the Our Lady of Mont-Carmel parish on Sunday, October 6 at 7 p.m. at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.

The mandate of the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel is to showcase, develop and promote the rich cultural heritage of Mont-Carmel.
