The second show taking place during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival, organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), is taking place on Sunday, September 15 at 7 pm at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.
The show will feature Island singer Jordan LeClair as well as Nova Scotia singer/songwriter Sylvie Boulianne.
Jordan LeClair hails from the Tignish region and has been performing on stage for close to 25 years. It’s thanks to numerous family members, including his mother, grandfather (Alphy Perry), aunts (including Peggy Clinton) and cousins, that he found his love for music. During his performances, he presents a mixture of Country, Southern Rock, Rock and Folk music. Jordan will be accompanied by his musicians Keelin Wedge and Michael Richard.
Sylvie Boulianne, from Baie Sainte-Marie in Nova Scotia, grew up to the rhythm of the ocean waves and the traditional folk melodies played by her family and friends. Her music reflects not only her talent, but also her deep connection to her roots, the natural beauty of her coastal village, and the rich tapestry of cultural influences that have shaped her artistic voice. Sylvie's music is a poignant testament to her journey, a harmonious blend of tradition and creativity that touches the soul and embodies the spirit of a passionate artist and she is ready to share it with the world.
The show will start at 7:00 p.m. and the doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) open at 6:15 p.m. During the evening, spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets and the canteen will be open. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 for members of our Cooperative, $8 for students and free for preschoolers. Given that seating is limited, folks are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at www.cooperativeculturelledemontcarmel.com. If any tickets are left, they will be made available for purchase at the door on the night of the show. Tickets for our other shows taking place during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival can be purchased on site during this show.
