The artists taking the stage on August 11 in Mont-Carmel!

The Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series is underway every Sunday night until August 25.

The artists who will be performing at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall on Sunday, August 11, are the Quebec duo Bronko, New Brunswick singer Anica as well as New Brunswick’s traditional music group Dahlia Ave.

Bronko is a duo formed by Terrebonne's Cédric Paquet and Simon Therrien Dubois. The two friends met at school and quickly developed a musical complicity. Singing and playing guitar enabled them to write their first songs in their early teens. After a meeting with Québec singer-songwriter David Jalbert, the latter decided to become their manager, producer and mentor. Bronko released their first radio single, "Je regrette rien", and had great success, holding the top spot on the Top BDS Rock chart for 5 consecutive weeks. Then, in April 2019, the duo released their debut album entitled "Accroche-Toi" on the Goliath Musique label. A discovery not to be missed!

Anica has been performing on stages all over the world for over 40 years.  From Europe to Japan, Canada to the USA - she's a musical force to be reckoned with!  She is one of the only female artists in the world to have created an original rock musical, which she is currently developing in digital format with McKenzie College in Moncton, New Brunswick, to be presented in London, England, during the 2026 season!  Anica has competed on America's Got Talent, World's Got Talent and was recently awarded the coveted Golden Buzzer on Canada's Got Talent!

Dahlia Ave. is a New Brunswick trad quartet bringing a breath of fresh air to the folk music scene. The group plays a blend of Old Time, Celtic and Acadian melodies. These four seasoned musicians already have an impressive touring history: they've traveled to Belgium, Scotland, Australia, across Canada, the U.S., France and Ireland with various projects.

The show will start at 7:00 p.m. and the doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) open at 6:15 p.m.  During the evening, spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets and the canteen will be open. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 for members of our Cooperative, $8 for students and free for preschoolers. Given that seating is limited, folks are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at  www.cooperativeculturelledemontcarmel.com.  If any tickets are left, they will be made available for purchase at the door on the night of the show.

The mandate of the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel is to showcase, develop and promote the rich cultural heritage of Mont-Carmel.
