Two free lunch-and-learns to show entrepreneurs how to use ESG and sustainability concepts to grow their business

CHARLOTTETOWN - May 16, 2023 - Francophone and bilingual entrepreneurs from PEI, as well as leaders of Francophone organizations, are invited to attend one of two free lunch-and-learns in early June to explore “How to integrate ESG (environment, social and governance) criteria and sustainability into your business growth strategy”.

Israël Poulin, provincial coordinator of the new sustainability project "IMPACT: Towards a Responsible and Sustainable Economy in Atlantic Canada", will deliver these information sessions on Wednesday, June 7, at 12 noon at the Carrefour de l'Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown (in Bayou 3 Room) and on Thursday, June 8, at 12 noon at the Wellington Rural Action Centre. A light lunch will be provided. Interested persons should register as soon as possible as space is limited.

RDÉE Prince Edward Island manages the IMPACT project on the Island but is offering the lunches in collaboration with the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI and the Wellington Rural Action Centre.

"In order to optimize the survival of your business, it is essential to adopt an innovative strategy and take advantage of the benefits offered by ESG criteria and sustainability. These are the levers that will allow you to turn current challenges into real opportunities for future growth and success," says Poulin.

"In a constantly evolving world, strategic issues are being redefined. That's why we invite you to participate in this exclusive information session where we will explore the new imperatives that will ensure the sustainability of your business. We will guide you through the keys to prosperity by showing you how to effectively integrate ESG and sustainability into your overall strategy."

He points out that meeting these challenges with boldness and innovation will allow companies to thrive in an ever-changing economic environment. "Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge, guidance and tools to succeed in this transition and make your company a true agent of change," adds the coordinator, who will share his expertise at these events.

ADAPTATION

Poulin helps companies and organizations adopt business practices that are more respectful of the environment and people, while aiming to optimize the company's performance and value and ensure its sustainability. With his extensive entrepreneurial experience and commitment to sustainability, the speaker will bring valuable perspectives to this information session.

"We look forward to welcoming you to this rewarding event, where you can network with experts, share innovative ideas and make valuable contacts. Don't miss this opportunity to shape the future of your business by harnessing the full potential of ESG and sustainability," he concludes.

In addition to addressing the overall theme, Poulin will also discuss the IMPACT project and participant recruitment. Over the next three years of the project, the RDÉE will be able to train and accompany 10 businesses and organizations in their adoption and implementation of sustainable development practices that will lead to their eco-certification.

Entrepreneurs and organizational leaders are asked to reserve their spot for this inspiring day to discover how to turn challenges into opportunities to grow their business or organization and ensure its long-term survival. Registration for the Charlottetown session is due by May 29 and for the Wellington session, the deadline is June 6.
