A lunch-and-learn to help bosses develop better working relationships with employees

WELLINGTON – Jan. 4, 2023 - All entrepreneurs, employers, team leaders and other bosses are invited to attend a lunch-and-learn session, in French, entitled "How to Develop Better Working Relationships with My Employees" on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 12 p.m. at the Wellington Rural Action Centre (RAC).

Human resource development specialist Bruce Joshua will lead this 90-minute session, accompanied by a light lunch, for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI and the Wellington RAC.

"Do you know your team members? How would you describe their behavior, their skills, their talents, their performance? You spend so much time with your employees, possibly more than you spend with your family or friends. It is possible to build these relationships, and the most effective strategy may be the one that is most overlooked... Come learn as well as share your perspectives!"

The presenter will offer suggestions and ways to develop such relationships, but participants will also be invited to share methods they themselves have seen or practiced themselves over the years.

Originally from Isle Madame, Cape Breton, Joshua has been a resident of the Evangeline region since September 2021. His more than 25 years in education have allowed him to develop significant skills and knowledge, including in professional development with the development and delivery of various training sessions.

The registration fee to attend this luncheon session on relational leadership is $5, tax included, for Chamber members and $10, tax included, for non-members. This amount will cover the session and a light lunch. To register, contact Josée Ouellette at josee@rdeeipe.org or 902-854-3439 by Jan. 27.
