We’re encouraging anyone who claims to make a great meat pie to sign-up for the Festival "Meat Pie” regional competition which will take place in the Evangeline area on Friday, October 7th starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village.

Many money prizes are to be won including the top prize of $250. There's a traditional meat pie and non-traditional meat pie category. Contestants are asked to sign up at www.farmersbank.ca.  If you need a bit of help, give Annette a call at 902-854-2166 or email reception@cscevangeline.ca. 

Celebrity chef Robert Pendergast will take part in the evening and folks will be able to share stories about the importance of meat pies in their families.  There will also be musical entertainment. This family activity is free and all participants and spectators will receive a free piece of meat pie to enjoy during the event. The activity is organized by the Conseil scolaire-communautaire Évangéline, the Farmers' Bank of Rustico and several other partners.
