Tuesday Talk at the Acadian Museum: The Tradition of St. Anne Sundays on Lennox Island

On Tuesday, July 26th at 7 p.m. at the Acadian Museum of PEI in Miscouche, there will be a talk about the traditions associated with the celebration of St. Anne Sundays on Lennox Island.  This long-standing custom of gathering on the last Sunday of July has brought the community together to celebrate with ceremonies, picnics, parades and various other activities.  For many years, it was also a tradition for Acadians to ferry across to the Island to participate in these festivities.  Members of the public are encouraged to come share their own memories of these events.

No reservations required.  This talk will take place in English.  Refreshments will be served at the end of the talk.  Admission is free however donations are always appreciated (cash only).

In partnership with Experience Lennox Island.

We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada.
