Callout to Island Creators & Performers - 2023 Canada Games

The Canada Games Winter Games Host Society is creating a database of creators and performers living in Prince Edward Island, to draw from as paid performance opportunities arise leading up to and during the 2023 Canada Games, from February 18 - March 5, 2023. Opportunities may include major announcements, VIP receptions and events, festival and cultural events, and the Opening & Closing Ceremonies.

 

Who should apply?

Island based creators of all disciplines of dance, music, theatre and visual arts with performances geared toward adults, all ages, and children. Examples include but not limited to:

  • Dance: jazz, tap, street, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, Latin, Caribbean, African
  • Music: all genres in various configurations i.e. solo, duo, group, choirs
  • Theatre: musical, variety (stand-up, magician, puppetry, busking), fringe, circus
  • Visual: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture (contemporary, snow, ice), photography, filmmaking

We welcome a broad range of individuals to submit including members of the 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, deaf, disabled and MAD arts communities and our Mi’kmaq First Nation people across Epekwitk whose traditional and ancestral homeland we are honoured to live and work on.

Deadline for submissions is May 31, 2022
